CWCT Testing

CWCT Testing confirms the water tightness of curtain walling and cladding systems by directing concentrated water sprays to specific areas of the building envelope. A distance of 250mm is maintained between the face of elevation and the spray nozzle. The apparatus discharges water at a flow rate of 5 litres a minute per metre at a pressure of 2 to 3 bar through a calibrated control valve and gauge, sustained for a 30-minute continuous test.

CWCT Testing is suitable for open-jointed systems such as rainscreen cladding, unsealed patent glazing, opening lights or doors and smoke vents.

CWCT Testing is intended for testing permanently sealed joints of the installed cladding system to ensure that the performance of the system has not been reduced by the fabrication and installation.

Controlled Pressure Testing is intended for testing permanently sealed joints of the installed cladding system to ensure that the performance of the system has not been reduced by the fabrication and installation. We’ve used this method to identify leaks in cladding, curtain walling, roofs and skylights, and our expert RAM engineers will carry out a survey to suggest repairs if action is required.

We’ve helped a comprehensive range of property owners detect leaks quickly, saving them significant sums on repairs. Our rigorous tests are carried out the latest CWCT standards, whilst they’re very cost-effective and suitable for small and large areas. We’ve carried out tests on a broad range of commercial and residential properties, and no surface is too large for our dedicated team. Whether you’re looking to test facades, windows, cladding or entire building envelopes, RAM can help, and you can find out more by getting in touch with us today.
